My experience at the Royal Indian Buffet and Sweets in Cambridge was delightful. The restaurant offers simple yet flavorful Indian cuisine at an affordable price point. It's a popular spot among students, evidenced by the bustling Sunday lunch crowd. The staff were exceptionally pleasant and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The buffet spread was consistently well stocked with fresh offerings. A highlight was the hot buttered nans served at the table. Overall, it is a highly recommended dining destination for those craving authentic, homely Indian flavors without breaking the bank.

The Indian food at your restaurant is outstanding. However, the Chinese cuisine falls very short in taste and quality, I had to garbage it. Highly disappointed. My suggestion would be to focus solely on your excellent Indian dishes and discontinue the Chinese menu.

So far, I have tried only gulab jamun, samose and paneer pakode. I must say 1 number. Paneer pakode are lit. They are so yummy.

We have been eating at this place for some time, most of the time food is good. We try their buffet lunch. Overall it is one of the very good in the area, however sometimes it can be too loud music and noise, it is a small place and at times it is crowed. Food is very good most of the times.

Roti: 5/5, One of the very good tandoori roti I had.
Chole/Chana: 4.5/5, Very Good, this curry is difficult to make with good taste and they make it very good.
Kadi Pakora / Yogert curry: 3.5/5, Good, difficult to cook.
Mixed Veg currry: 3.5/5, Good.
Dal Makhhani: 4.5/5, Verry good, difficult to cook.
Paneer: 3/5, it ok, they could fry paneer chunks first before putting in curry, overall it is good.
Saag: 4/5, Very Good.
Rajama/kidney beans masala: 4.5/5, Verry good.
Rice: 3/5, it ok, probably it is sometime to do with rice they use, there are some better quality brands of basmati they could use, e.g. Lal Quila (green bag) is one of the best qualitty basmati rice. It is grown in rich mountain soil which gives it a flavour, taste you may not find in other brands.
Veg Pakoras: 4.5/5 Very good pakoras.
Fruit Salad: 4.5/5, Very good.
Ice-cream: 4.5/5 Very good.
Rice pudding, Sweets: 4.5/5 Very good.

I grew up in Brampton so I have high standards for Indian food. This was amazing! Especially for the price of the buffet (in this inflationary era). I personally loved the pakora curry and the dal makani (lentil bean creamy curry). My South Asian descent boyfriend said the paneer curry dishes were top notch. We both loved the rasmalai (a very soft and pillowy fluffy round dessert made of milk). They also served fresh naan with the buffet. Some improvements could be to make the butter chicken with fresher chicken and maybe cook the goat for longer to soften it more. I also loved the Punjabi music videos. Ambiance is like a solid pho restaurant but I did not feel rushed despite it being a buffet. For hygiene they also have signs to remind people to always use new plates.

There were many South Asian people coming by and also a few non South Asians. Everyone is very welcome. Also clean bathrooms.

Tried the veg Indian buffet. Tastes great and staff is polite and hospitable. Good experience overall.

I had a take out for Kadhai chicken, Channa Masala, Malai Kofta. The quality and quantity of food is just awesome. The price is also very good and it is worth it. I would highly recommend everyone to visit the restaurant at least once and enjoy their services.

Today I ordered butter chicken, veg manchurian and kadai chicken with garlic naan.I loved the food and for catering highly recommended. As compared to other restaurants their quality and quantity is best according to price.

I ordered Kadhai panner, Channa Masala, Naan and panner pakora for take way. Food was so delicious and quality of food was very good as well as food was cheaper than other restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Small simply decorated resteraumt with a fantastic affordable buffet. Naan flows like water. Standouts were a super flavourful goat curry, and the mixed veg.

Best chicken bhuna spicy in KWC. Trust me i have tried almost 15-20 different restaurants in KwC region but finaly got something i can say actually similar to indian taste. (Limited to chicken bhuna) will update trying diff things later.

The food baria hain but i felt so unfortable to have my food. Before there was a barrier so that we get some time alone with friends or family but now its so open that others googling at you and the food in our plate. Some people cant prevent themselves looking at others plate. Please i am a regular customer install the barrier once again. On saturday i husband had to leave this food and went away.

Only Indian restaurant in KWC area that was able to fulfill our bulk food order (35 people) around 10:30 AM. Otherwise most of the restaurants in the area can at best serve catering orders by noon. We almost had to cancel our event but Royal india came to our rescue. Not only they provided us the food on time but the food tasted so good that everyone at our event praised for the food and asked us the whereabouts. We ordered dal makani, shahi paneer, and mix veg, with rice, naan, gulabjamun, dahi n salad. The price per plate for catering was reasonable as well.

I went to this place with driving all the way from London, ON with my friends after their specified hours for buffet, not knowing that they close the buffet at 8:00 pm, but the restaurant stays open till 10:00 pm. The staff are so friendly and the owner is generous enough to still enjoy the buffet with full service assured. The staff are really ambient, friendly and having happy to help mindset. The range of food in their buffet is wider than any other Indian food place I have been in Canada and absolutely reasonable price. We decided to make a stop at Cambridge every time we drive from London to Toronto or back, just to dine in here.

This is an all-you-can-eat Indian restaurant. The quality of food is great. This restaurant also provides naan, which is tasty but the wait is too long. The only problem I found here was with the service. The server's were not attentive. The variety of food is limited to 15-20, but it's reasonable, because of the quality and the price.

Best Indian buffet in KWC. Started going years ago and its still great. If you need it to be spicier just grab a chili pepper to nibble on. But the flavor is there. Vegetarian curries are great and Im the furthest thing from a vegetarian.

Best Indian buffet in KWC. Started going years ago and its still great. If you need it to be spicier just grab a chili pepper to nibble on. But the flavor is there. Vegetarian curries are great and Im the furthest thing from a vegetarian.

The quantity of food is good enough and prices are fair. Taste wise all the dishes they have are very satisfactory. They get the take out ready in 20-25 minutes time no matter big the order is. Very happy with their take out service.

I went to this place with driving all the way from London, ON with my friends after their specified hours for buffet, not knowing that they close the buffet at 8:00 pm, but the restaurant stays open till 10:00 pm. The staff are so friendly and the owner is generous enough to still enjoy the buffet with full service assured. The staff are really ambient, friendly and having happy to help mindset. The range of food in their buffet is wider than any other Indian food place I have been in Canada and absolutely reasonable price. We decided to make a stop at Cambridge every time we drive from London to Toronto or back, just to dine in here.

LOVE this place! Its our go to for Indian food in Cambridge. Our favourite is the butter chicken, vegetable samosas and gulab jamun for dessert. The naan bread is awesome too. The price is right and the customer service is also very good. Would definitely recommend!

If you really want to enjoy genuine north Indian Dhaba style food this is the place to visit.
We ordered Tandoori sizzler, veg Manchurian and malai chaap as starters they were genuinely the taste which we crave for in India unfortunately most of the food in GTA tastes almost the same but not at Royal Indian buffet.
We ordered butter chicken, garlic chicken Nashili, Chicken Biryani and Dal makhani along with keema naan and garlic naan trust me the taste and quality of food is far far superior to whatever is being served here in GTA and I have eaten at almost all the major restaurants out there.

Nothing is any where near to this place in the authentic dhaba taste which is being offered and is a must must visit to actually feel the taste and difference. This is going to be my go to place now whenever I am eating outside purely fantastic!!

Weve had take out multiple times in the last few years and every time we have loved it! Great portion sizes, reasonably priced, and just hands down the best Indian food in Cambridge !
